Front page mock up

This is my front cover of my In Design work in which was used for a front cover of a college magazine. This was where I was able to bring text in front of the enlarged image and add a numerous amount colour and fonts to the text which makes it vibrant and gives you a clear image of what the headline is about. This is also used as a sort of propaganda, as it encourages you to want to join the
sixth form and it shows the life that goes with it. This is also where I learnt how import an image as a background effect and gives the page a focus on the student himself.

The double page spread is something which I was able to mess about and using many tools such as a pointer tool which helps to focus on one particular part of the page. I also used cropping in which helped me to put the layout in the way it is so it actually looks like a real article. The images that I also inserted where there to adjust the article in a sense that made it as though the story had developed. The random shapes where also something which was evident of the ruler tool and the freehand tool to show I am able to mix shapes into the double page spread.

Finally, the contents page is where i could insert information in a positioned layout with also informative bulletins in which you look for when relating to a contents page. This also includes images of students as a way to portray an image of how devoted students are to working within this school environment.
